FOURTEEN SVRES LATER-DECORATED TURQUOISE-GROUND PLATES
The porcelain circa 1782, the decoration 19th century
Each center with a sprig of pink roses on a dark puce roundel and with a further circlet of 'pearls' on a similar ground, the border with three oval panels of a flower spray within a berried wreath reserved on the turquoise ground within a gilt chaised cartouche issuing bull rushes and linked by gilt beaded garlands of 'pearls' issuing ferns, the underside with large stencilled collector's mark 'C.C.', 9in. (24.2cm.) diam.; together with two hexafoil dishes decorated en suite and from the same collection, 11.3/8in. (28.8cm.) diam. (16)
