A LARGE SVRES STYLE TURQUOISE-GROUND VASE AND COVER
Late 19th/20th century, crowned BB monogram mark possibly for Bordois & Bloch, bearing interlaced L's marks and a false presentation inscription
Of spiral-moulded baluster form, with rocaille-moulded gilt-white scroll finial, handles and feet, painted in colours with the 'Bataille de Fontenoy' and with a view of the chateau at 'Chantilly' named in French below, each reserved on the turquoise ground within an elaborate gilt cartouche and surmounted by a moulded gilt white rocaille shell
