8o (171 x 110 mm). 124 leaves. Italic and roman types. Printer's woodcut devices on title page and last verso, ornamental woodcut initials. (Minor spotting and light dampstains, mostly marginal.) Contemporary limp vellum preserving some deckle edges, evidence of two pairs of tawed leather ties (soiled and a bit cockled).
Second edition by Giunio Paolo Crasso of this anatomical treatise by Johann Guenther von Andernach, Vesalius' teacher. Guenther mentions Vesalius (here on p.36). "It is apparent that Vesalius assisted his teacher in the anatomical preparations; at one point, Guenther gave Vesalius credit for discoveries regarding the spermatic vessels" (Norman).
