The vessel of elongated, ovoid form, terminating in a rounded point, the sloping shoulders surmounted by a ridged mouth, applied with two curved hollow "ears", presumably to insert struts for support, the body incised all over with a fine mesh pattern, earth encrustation; together with a small gray pottery jar, Western Zhou dynasty, of elongated ovoid form, the shoulders with grooved lines, surmounted by a widely flaring mouth with two lug handles attached to the rim, the body with a coarse impressed mesh design
