Finely worked on the front and back panels in satin stitch and couched gold threads with roundels of narrative scenes of figures encircled by double gourds and flowers, amidst exotic birds, flower sprays and fruit and floral roundels, picked out in shades of green, blue and purple and reserved on a dark blue ground, all within brocade and cream-ground embroidered borders at the collar, cuffs and openings decorated with further figures in various garden settings
