The square brass case on three stump feet etched with chrysanthemums and leaves, the brass and silvered-metal dial engraved with the twelve numerals and fitted with a pierced hand cast in the form of a paulownia leaf, above the dial two small square openings revealing plates engraved with signs of the zodiac, clockworks brass fitted with two chains and attached pulley, balance and detachable weight
