This work was probably painted in the summer of 1931 while the artist was in Vermont at work on his Main Street, Manchester-in-the-Mountains, Vermont.

This painting will be included in the forthcoming catalogue raisonn being prepared by Hollis Taggart and Carl Jorgensen in cooperation with the Garber family.
