Lot Essay

This scultpure is one of eight different pieces commissioned from the artist by GVG Editions, Monterrey. The sculptures were issued in editions of three. Tamayo worked with the foundry for about four years, supervising all details. The works were completed in 1989 and first exhibited in 1990.

This sculpture is sold with a photo-certificate of authenticity from Rufino Tamayo dated February 1990
