AN APULIAN RED-FIGURE GUTTUS
attributed to the b.m. centaur group, closely associated with the darius-underworld painter
circa 340-320 b.c.
With a woman, a cista in her left hand, moving left but looking right toward a nude youth with a wreath, rosettes and a branch in the field, with a ring handle and a molded lion-head spout, an integral strainer at the center with a band of wave around its raised border, palmettes and tendrils around the handle
