FIRST EDITION OF THE FIRST BOOK ON ORTHOPEDICS. Andry was the first to name this specialty. "He advised attention to proper posture in the prevention and correction of spinal curvature; he had a practical knowledge of body mechanics. This is also the first book on diseases of children to include mention of chlorosis" (Garrison-Morton).
