Streatfeild, Junr. (signature on title-page).
FIRST EDITION IN ENGLISH. JOHN LOWTHORP'S COPY WITH HIS NOTATIONS THROUGHOUT. Lowthorp is referred to in this work on p. 289 as participating with Desaguliers in an experiment on water velocity. In the margin beside this account Lowthorp has written: "This is inserted without my knowledge or leave." He adds other interesting comments and corrections throughout. Norman 1441.
