FIRST EDITION. In the Observationes anatomicae "Wepfer showed that apoplexy was a result of cerebral hemorrhage and described four cases with clinical and postmortem findings. He also clearly described the circular anastomosis of arteries at the base of the brain..." (Heirs of Hippocrates).
