Worked in multi-colored satin stitch and Peking knot on the front and back panels with large sprays of blossoming peony amidst elaborate butterflies and clusters of chrysanthemum, gourds, lily and prunus, all above a stylized wave border at the hem superimposed with further peony, the pale blue sleeve bands finely worked with auspicious objects with details picked out in couched gold thread
