Well carved as two long-legged water birds standing amidst a tangle of lotus stems and water weeds, the larger bird with head turned backwards while grasping a lotus stem in its large beak, the smaller bird with a millet stalk clutched in its beak, the lower half of each bird hollowed to form a container while the upper half forms the cover, with smaller birds perched amidst the stems, the stone of even white tone
