A BTTGER PORCELAIN TEABOWL AND SAUCER
Circa 1720, the decoration slightly later and probably Dutch
Painted in iron-red, turquoise, pale-blue, yellow enriched in gilt in the Kakiemon style with the 'Old Japanese Lady' pattern of a lady seated in a pavilion by a flowering tree, between straw fences and a tied curtain, beside a running hound; together with a Meissen hausmalerei teabowl and saucer, circa 1720, the decoration probably Dutch, painted in a Kakiemon type palette with birds perched in flowering branches issuing from wheat sheafs below borders of demi-flowerheads with pendant leaves between spearheads above 'cracked ice' bands (4)
