A MEISSEN TEABOWL AND SAUCER
Circa 1727, blue crossed swords and gilder's mark 13 on both, Dreher's to teabowls
Painted with harbor scenes of merchants in conversation before boats and ships, within scroll mirror shaped cartouches and Bttger lustre panels issuing purple and iron-red scrolls below gilt Laub-und-Bandelwerk, the interior of the teabowl with a stylised Oriental hut and flowers, in iron-red lines; together with a Chinese teabowl and saucer decorated in the Meissen style with panels of figures within shaped panels of gilt scrolls issuing iron-red foliage among sprays of stylized flowers within Laub-und-Bandelwerk gilt borders (4)
