Circa 1720, probably painted at the Auffenwerth workshop
Of flattened globular form, with domed cover, painted with Chinoiseries, the cover with figures at a table taking tea, insects in the air within Laub-und-Bandelwerk, the sides with two similar scenes of tiny figures seated in a garden taking tea, a Laub-und-Bandelwerk border above the gilt footrim, the interior of both box and cover decorated in iron-red with flying birds and insects
