A MEISSEN BLUE AND WHITE RECTANGULAR TEA-CADDY AND COVER
Circa 1735, blue crossed swords and painter's marks, Dreher's impressed :: for Grund Senior
Painted with birds in flight above flowering branches below an egg-and- dart band, the cover with artichoke finial; 5in. (12.8cm.) high; together with a Meissen blue and white arched rectangular tea-caddy painted with flowering lotus and peony issuing from stylized rockwork, the sloping shoulder with insects and flower sprigs, 4in. (10.2cm.) high; a Meissen Kaputzner Braun teabowl, the fluted interior decorated in blue and white with a Chinese pavilion beneath a diaper band; a Meissen caf-au-lait ground fluted teabowl, the interior decorated in blue and white with stylized flower sprays beneath a trellis band reserved with panels of similar flowers; and a blue and white teabowl painted with panels of similar flowers, the fluted interior with a single flower within two blue bands (5)
