A PAIR OF MEISSEN TURQUOISE-GROUND LARGE CUELLES, COVERS AND STANDS
Circa 1740, blue crossed swords marks to both stands and cuelles, one stand with Pressnummer 16, the other Pressnummer 22
Of hemispheric form with gilt pierced lappet-shaped handles and berried finial, painted in colours with European harbor scenes and landscapes reserved on the pale-turquoise ground within gilt bands, gilt line rims (4)
