The fluted drum-shaped case on scroll supports inlaid with malachite roundels to the front and within gilt incised floral borders, on moulded rectangular base with outset panels decorated with conforming ornament, the white enamel Roman chapter ring with recessed centre with visible Brocot escapement, blued spade hands, the twin barrel movement with strike on gong; and a French ebonised and brass mounted combination timepiece, with handle to breakarch top, white enamel time dial with Gothic chapters above aneroid barometer dial, the sides with brass registers for thermometers to the chamfered angles (tubes lacking), late 19th century
