The oval case with reeded columns to the bevelled glass plates, with stepped top and plinth, each with conforming trailing floral and rope-twist mounts, white enamel dial with Arabic five minutes and decorated with floral swags, gilt hands, signed in the centre GRIVOLAS PARIS and ''PENDULE 400 JOURS'', single barrel movement with deadbeat escapement, , backplate with repeat stamp and No.A.6-19-7, oscillating flat-bob pendulum (lacks suspension)
