A Regency Scottish mahogany and inlaid longcase clock, first quarter 19th century
The hood with swan neck pediment and front-fluted columns, the arched trunk door flanked by fluted 3/4 pilasters, with plinth (split to centre) on bracket feet, the white dial with floral spandrels and with flowers and butterflies in the arch within a swag border, subsidiary seconds and calendar rings to the centre (dial retouched), pierced steel hour and minute hands (seconds replaced), the four pillar rack striking movement with anchor escapement
