Arabic manuscript on paper, entitled 'narnatnameh mufaja'ah'(?), lines of black naskh between gold clouds, gold margins between black rules, blue outer rule, heading in red, illuminated heading at start, signed by Muhammad 'Ali Isfahani and dated AH 1280/1863-4 AD, faded green leather wrapper with scalloped edge - 9.2cm. wide; two others similar, one with lines of Persian shikasteh, signed and dated AH 1289/1872-3 AD - larger 8.4cm. wide; Prayer scroll, with the small black naskh written to form panels of large calligraphy in gold borders, headings in red, illuminated heading and decorative panel at start, leather wrapper - 7.4cm. wide; another, with panels or large red and gold calligraphy on a ground and within borders of small black naskh - 9.4cm. wide.; calligraphic scroll, the lines of minute black naskh forming reserved bands of calligraphy and decorative motifs of birds in trees, floral medallions and quatrefoils, leather wrapper - 8.6cm. wide; two others similar with illuminated heading panels - larger 10.2cm. wide; and four on crepe paper, probably talismanic scrolls, each with lines of minute black and red naskh, one dated AH 1228/1813-14 AD - largest 8cm. wide; and a lacquered box, showing Safavid style scenes - 10 x 17.5 x 6.8cm., all Persia, 19th century (12)
