A Nishapur conical bowl
painted in cream, brown and olive glazes with a stylised bird -- 10in. (25.5cms) diam; another decorated with three fish within a dot motif border -- 10¼in. (26cms) diam; a flaring bowl sparsley decorated with kufic calligraphy -- 8½in. (21.5cms) diam; and a shallow bowl decorated in brown and cream enamels with a band of kufic calligraphy to the rim and further to the centre -- 8¾in. (22cms) diam, 10th/12th century, (damages and restoration).
