A Lajvardina cobalt blue rectangular tile
moulded in two sections with a seated hare, and two striding beasts to the upper section, the lower with birds among flowersprays, painted overall in white and red enamels with stylised scrolling flowers and foliage -- 8¼in. x 17¾in. (21cms x 45cms), 14th century, (old wear and restoration, lower edge reduced).
