painted with kufic calligraphy and scrolling arabesques -- 7¾in. (19.6cms) diam; a flaring cream and brown bowl with a band of kufi to the rim -- 8¼in. (21cms) diam; a further cream and brown Nishaour pottery bowl with calligraphic panels to the rim -- 10¾in. (27.2cms) diam; and a cream, brown and yellow Nishapur dish with further calligraphic panels and central rosette -- 8.3/8in. (21.2cms) diam, 10th/12th century, (damages, restoration and old wear).
