Lot Essay

The world-wide t.v. link-up show Our World was an historic occasion. For the first time in broadcasting history 18 countries agreed to provide material for a live 125 minute transmission, which 13 additional countries agreed to broadcast without themselves contributing. Altogether the viewing audience was estimated to be close to 500 million. Britain's contribution was The Beatles performing All You Need Is Love.
