A typescript letter, to Julia [Baird, Lennon's half-sister] and Allen, on Lennono Music, 1 West 72nd Street, New York, New York 10023 headed paper, [n.d. but October 1975], the letter typed by Lennon beginning Dear Julia/allen et al in walla walla sea side... discussing the recent birth of Sean ...yiz will have heard the good news via whatever...it was pretty ruff the last few weeks before hospital...and ruffer in there. (i styed (sic) the whole two weeks, sleeping on the floor...feeding the baby every four hours.. he was under 'intensive care'..i.e. TORTURE...for the first week...also yoko wasn't alowed (sic) to see him for a few days!!!...it was an effing NIGHTMARE...Any road up, we're home, but not dry!... apologizing for his letter writing habits ...you;ll (sic) find over the years that i'm a bit erratic with answering letters even when i'm not pregnant...so dont get mad! o.k? if it's an EMERGENCY well dats different. put it down to 'artistic' temprement (sic)..and/or insanity... adding ..i'll send some pics of sean as soon as we get a chance to breathe, he'l (sic) be five by then the way we're feeling! but he's a blessing and we're thrilled... Lennon also refers to ongoing USA residency problems ... we might get over there early nextg year (spring)? if the u.s.a. comes thru o.k. (touch woodworm) signing off love to y'all the man over there 1p
