Town views, landscape studies, river views and village scenes including Dunedin seen from the N.E. Valley, Port Chalmers, Christchurch, Queenstown, Mt. Earnslaw from Pigeon Island, Lake Wakatipu, Diamond Lake, Manawatu Gorge, Ohinemutu, several views at the Pink and White Terraces before the volcanic eruption of the 1870s; and group portraits of natives in front of their homes (one illus.) including one titled 'The Great Nigatimaniopoto Chief "Wahanui" family and friends at his house - Alexandra'; a mother with her child; and several individual portrait studies of Maoris in traditional dress with painted faces.
