A 20th-Century bone and horn model of a French ninety-two gun Man-of-War,
with bound masts, yards with stun's'l booms, standing and running rigging, carved warrior figurehead, decorated hair rails, anchors with bone stocks, catheads, belaying rails, bitts, gratings, stove pipe, bell and canopy, balustrading, companionways, six ship's boats with bottom boards, thwarts and oars, in chocks and davits, and many other details. The hull, with carved stern and quarter galler detailing, has open gun ports, and is mounted on a parquetry decorated stand with decorated balustrading, on an inlaid display base and wood-framed glazed case. Measurements overall -- 24 x 29½in. (61 x 75cm.)
