The barque William Dixon, 496 tons, was built by Lamport's at Workington in 1862. Owned by Walmsley, with her home port at Liverpool, she ran to Valparaiso for about ten years before disappearing from record.

Christies are most grateful to A.S. Davidson for his invaluable assistance in cataloguing this lot.
