An English stoneware punch-pot and cover
possibly Sowter & Co., painted with a coaching scene to one side, the other moulded with the American eagle, shield and thirteen stars and a figure of Winged Victory defending a portrait medallion with her shield, painted with the monogram JL, above an engine-turened section, the shoulder applied with a band of flowerheads and S-scrolls, the finial formed as a boy with a hound, circa 1810 (damages, the cover in three sections) -- 28cm. high
