VINCENT NOVELLO (1781-1861)
Autograph letter signed ("V. Novello") to Mr Hone at Ludgate Hill, 2 1/2 pages, 8°, postmarked "30 DE 1820", apologising for his delay in writing "but that I waited in expectation of hearing from my friend Mr. Clark, to whom I immediately communicated your kind information respecting the printing business." He suggests that the recent death of Mr Clark's father "fully accounts for his silence to me, and explains the reason why he has not written or called upon you, to thank you for the kind interest you have shewn in promoting his wishes".
With 2 duplicate printed hymn sheets, 1935 and 1936, one of each signed by the composer, Charles Lark. (5)
