Amongst the highly varied recipes and remedies are "A water good against the plague & male pox or measells...," "How to make Aquamirabilis," "for the Rickets," "To Make French Macaroons," "...to Make Cowslipe wine," "A Receipt for the worms," "The best way to make red cherrie wine," "For wind in guts or Stomach," and "For the speedy delivery in childbirth." Another suggestion is "for the passion of the heart tak on quart of clarett ... and take 3 or 4 spoonfulls at morning, at noone, and at night. This is aproved."
