A one-page autograph letter of nine lines, signed ("Wellington"), to Private Immediate Captain Pelly, Trinity House, Tower Hill, 8°, London, June 15 1840, 6 a.m. (corner torn with loss).
Asking him not to wait for him: "I will set out as soon as I shall be at liberty. But I must see some gentlemen before I quit my house this morning."
With broken seal and delivery address to verso of letter.
