A rare catalogue with Consul Smith's own descriptions of his seven drawings and cartoons of Carlo Cignani (1628-1719), a Bolognese artist whose chef-d'oeuvre adorns the cupola of the Duomo at Forlì, and his seven paintings of Sebastiano Ricci (1659-1734), a Venetian painter much favoured by Smith and also popular in England.
