FIRST ITALIAN EDITION -- the Latin one had appeared two years earlier -- of Terzago and Scarabelli's catalogue of the Wunderkammer of Manfredo Settala, a rich Milanese prelate. It contained an extraordinary variety of objects, natural as well as artificial, inter alia cylindrical mirrors, unicorn horns, Chinese printed books on silk, mummies, birds of paradise, optical lenses, musical instruments, tropical fish and Chinese porcelain.
