A collection of works on football in Florence, the first and foremost of which is Bardi's famous Discorso, edited by Bini and published to commemorate a game played in honour of the marriage of Ferdinand, duke of Tuscany, and Violante Beatrice of Bavaria. The names of the players in this particular match are listed at the end. The engravings, illustrating play in the Piazza di Santa Croce and the positions of the players, are close copies of those in previous editions.
