This richly illustrated work prints the eloquent funeral oration delivered on the death of Prince Antonio Trivulzio, Captain General of the Imperial Army and last descendent of one of the oldest and most powerful noble Milanese families. The funeral took place in the Basilica of Santo Stefano Maggiore and the 20 fine engraved plates illustrate the decoration created for the occasion by the architect Giovanni Domenico Ricchino. Not in Berlin Kat., Cicognara, Lipperheide or Vinet.
