Lot Essay

Mrs. Plunkett was the daughter of the Hon. Ernest Guiness and a leading society hostess of her day. She was a patron of many French couture houses, but especially Givenchy contributing to his retrospective exhibition at the Pallais Galleria in 1991. Her dresses are unlabelled as she did not like labels rubbing her skin.
