A coverlet of ivory satin with three scalloped valences, embroidered in brightly coloured silks and chenille, the centre appliqué with a putto blowing a hunting horn with two dogs, within a garland of acorns, horns and quivers of arrows, with a stags head below, suspended from an applied ribbon, bordered with sprays of acorns and rocaille shellwork, the centre of each valence applied with a scenes of putti and a dog, putti and a stag and a lion and boar fight, trimmed with silk braid and edged with an ivory, pink, blue and green silk fringe--110 x 102in. (275 x 255cm.), 18th century, Portuguese, some repairs
