The vendor's father Percival Goodchild was indentured to the photographer Edwin Bullock of Leamington Spa in 1894 and worked for and with him until the outbreak of war in 1914. After war service Goodchild returned and established his own studio in Leamington Spa. He later moved his business to Kings Lynn in Norfolk.
