Each face of the lantern of square form with a glazed shaped rectangular panel within a pierced foliate scroll border between two rectangular panels decorated with prunus, peonies and pomegranates, the double-domed pierced foliate cresting centred by a ruyi pendant, with an apron of pierced floral scrolls, gilt and lacquered cinnabar red
