In op. cit., p. 24, Kwan notes a 'medium-sized bowl with phoenix medallions painted in preciously fired red, on pure white glaze' included as item 24 in the production list of the Imperial Kiln for the twenty-sixty year of Guangxu (AD 1900).

A similar example was included in the O.C.S. Exhibitionn o the Arts of the Ch'ing Dynasty, London, 1964, Catalogue, no. 242. Another from Weishaupt Collection is illustrated by Avitabile, From the Dragon's Treasure, no. 69.
