A French bronze equestrian group of a jockey and racehorse, last quarter 19th century
after Jules Moigniez (1835-1894), the jockey with hand raised to his cap astride his standing stallion, on naturalistic base signed J. Moigniez, with plaque engraved Why not Winner National Hunt Chase at Malton & Grand national 1886, later mounted on a stepped oval marmo portoro plinth -- 14.1/8in. (35.8cm.) wide overall
