carved and painted wood, comprising a circular band of raised gold-painted calligraphy around the name of god, in silver borders, the spandrels filled with gold arabesques, black ground, (light surface wear, small cracks in paint over joins of panels) - 75 x 75cm.; and another similar, the word 'Allah' in gold below diagonal lines of calligraphy within silver borders - 99 x 58.5cm., both probably Turkey or Levant, 20th century
