A pair of gilt-metal-mounted Sèvres-style dark-blue-ground vases and covers
the drum-shaped bodies painted with putti at various pursuits in continuous landscapes, the spirally fluted necks moulded with a beaded collar, the lower sections moulded with bands of stiff leaves above spreading feet, the finials cast with leaves, the rims beaded and the square bases with canted corners cast with panels of leaves, late 19th century (one cover with a restuck chips to rim, some wear) -- 39cm. high
