A Meissen group of The Broken Eggs
after M.V. Acier, modelled as a two ladies in eighteenth century dress, the younger lady standing, arms crossed, looking down to her side at a putto disappearing under her skirt, the older lady sitting with one arm on her shoulder, at her feet a winged putto kneeling by an upturned basket of eggs, on a rocky mound and oval base, painted predominantly in blue and white, enriched in gilt, incised F.65, Pressnummern 51 and 28, blue crossed swords mark, late 19th century (some restoration) -- 23.5cm. high
