American, 19th century
Comprising five cotton and wool rectangular rugs, the first centering a stylized foliate center in dark blue, cream, light blue, lavender, crimson and purple in a scrolling cartouche surround on a violet ground with green, cream and crimson foliate rosebud spandrels; the second a similar pattern in crimson, yellow, green and blue on a cream ground; the third centering a triple row of repeating stylized red, blue and green flowers on a cream ground with black surround; the fourth repeating polychrome pinwheels in circular surrounds; the fifth with repeating stylized red and blue flowers on a cream ground with black surround
