painted in sumi, gofun and colour on paper, one depicting a hawk perched on a pine branch above peonies issuing from rockwork beside a waterfall, the other with an eagle perched on a bamboo branch above chrysanthemums issuing from rockwork beside a meandering river, all in mountainous landscapes partly covered in stylised gilt clouds -- each panel 61½in.
